It started with candy. I was ten, walking my neighborhood in Arizona, knocking on doors, learning that if you can look a stranger in the eye and offer them something they actually want, you can eat. By fourteen I was selling newspaper subscriptions for the Arizona Republic. Some months I brought home more than my father made. I didn't know it then, but I was getting an education no classroom sells.
In my early twenties I landed with a company called Vital Partners, working alongside Microsoft, and won Gold President's Club. For the years that followed I did one thing well: I helped companies build. I consulted, I helped brands launch, I built sales organizations that reached around the world. I got written up in books and magazines for the size of what we built. I've done tens of millions in sales and trained people who went on to do the same.
I don't tell you that to impress you. I tell you so you know that when I sit with your family, I've spent my whole life learning how to protect what matters to the people in front of me.
Last year I lost my brother, James. He was about to get into this exact business. He saw what I saw: that a life insurance strategy done right isn't a bill, it's a promise a family gets to keep. He didn't get the chance to start.
